Let me have one more day.
I promise I’ll try to make everything okay.
Let me tell you I love you one more time.
I promise I’ll be fine.
Let me see your face again.
I promise to stand by you through the end.
Let me hold your hand.
I promise to be as strong as I can.
Let me know you still are there.
I promise to tell you how much I care.
Let me see you as I sleep.
I promise I won’t weep.
Let me have one more hour.
I promise my heart won’t be sour.
Let me hear one more song.
I promise to stay strong.
Let me know you’re okay.
I promise not to keep my feelings tucked away.
Let me hear your voice one more time.
I promise I won’t cry.
I need to see you one more day.
Then I will be okay.

I'm going to post something very soon and I want you to do me a favor, I want you to replicate it just for you. So much of your poetry is negative in nature and that's okay because it gives you a release--but here's the deal, when you write and think about the negative sometimes you get pulled down by it.... So let's just say for a moment, you are in the water swimming nicely... then you begin to think of each negative that has happened in your life the first one that comes to your mind is not just a thought, it becomes a 2 ounce weight around your left foot, the next negative thought is another 2 ounce weight, this one around your right arm... each weight/thought that's added makes it more difficult to swim, makes it more difficult to keep your head above the water.... So that even if you were in an even keeled mood when you started you are no longer alright, you are depressed and no amount of anything at that point seems to be able to make it "all better".
It's hard, I know, really I do. Write out things that you like, things that have made you smile in the past...
Example:
blue flowers, laughing with friends, "what's the purpose of a sideduck hangways?"
Things that may only make sense to you... but do it for as long as you can, and then reread what you wrote.
