So where should I be,
If this place isn't for me?
Where should I go
If my place is unknown?
If I don't belong in the crowd,
Then why do I hang around?
I know they're about my age,
But why do I feel so strange?
I tried talking, but got pushed away
Now nothing I say.
So why even bother
All I need is the Father.
I understand fellowship is a need,
But what about how it feels to me?
I need some kind of sign.
Something to let me know it will be fine.
I want to know when I fall they'll be there.
I want them to show that they care.
Life is a two way street,
So what if in the middle you don't meet.
Do you start over and try again?
Or stay on the road and make new friends?
Where should you go,
If even at home you feel alone?

some people are bad about showing they care... have you ever heard of the 5 love languages?
As always, your poems are moving. Structurally, the parallelism in the opening couple of couplets and the closing couplet tie the whole piece together nicely. You continue to grow as a poet, and I am grateful you share these words with us.
Concerning the pain of life, I can only pray that God will open eyes and hearts (both others and yours) to see and be His love. All of His other gifts have limits, e.g., once you've written the greatest poem of all time, that's it, the greatest poem has been written.
But love, love is eternal, ever growing, ever needed. And in this dry, barren, sin-caked desert of the real, sometimes the sweet waters of love seem to be all but gone. I'll pray for rain (hey, I'll even pray for a flood...)
You know, unfortunately we are all human and neglect each other sometimes . . . especially when our encouragement and love is most needed. It does not mean that you are not loved! The poem is beautiful and I love the fact that you express yourself with this gift from God. You are always in my prayers! . . .
Let your unfailing love surround us, LORD, for our hope is in You alone. Psalm 63:3 NLT
